Writing Conditionals

Scientist

A conditional sentence expresses an outcome that could happen as long as something else happens first. Conditionals combine a dependent "if" clause with an independent clause.

There are four types of conditional sentences. Each type expresses a different degree of possibility that something will or would occur depending on whether the condition is met.
