Using Verb Tenses

A present-tense verb tells that the action is taking place now, or takes place all the time.

Daniel watches the snow fall outside.

A past-tense verb tells that the action happened earlier in time. You usually form past tense by adding d or ed at the end of the verb.

Yesterday, it snowed all day.
