Editing Summaries
After revising your summary, you need to edit it to correct any remaining errors. You'll look closely at sentences, punctuation, capitalization, grammar, and spelling. The following activities will help you edit your summary.
Editing for Plurals
There are many rules for making nouns plural, but three basic rules will help you most of the time.
- Add an s to most nouns.
- Add an es to nouns ending in sh, ch, x, s, or z.
- For nouns ending in y that follow a consonant, change y to i and add es.
cow ---> cows
church ---> churches
penny ---> pennies
